Fernco - Adaptor Coupling AC

 

The adapter couplings according to DIN EN 295-4 create transitions between different pipe materials and nominal widths. The adapter is suitable for use in underground and above-ground drainage systems outside and inside buildings where there is no special shear load.

 

The elastomer element is made of EPDM according to DIN EN 681-1 and stainless steel quality 1.4301 (V2A) is used for the tension straps. All Fernco adapter couplings can withstand an internal water pressure of 0.6 bar. When connecting pipes with different internal diameters (DN), the flow direction must be taken into account if necessary.

 

Adapter couplings should only be used for connections without high shear loads, for example due to uneven compaction or where there are no requirements for tension loads. In such cases you can install one of our Type 2B sleeve seals with the corresponding compensation rings. The integrated stainless steel breaking band gives the connection additional protection against shear loads that can lead to misalignment of the pipes.
